MICROBLADING
What is Microblading ?
Microblading (also known as Eyebrow Embroidery , Feather Brows or Hair-stroke Eyebrows) is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that is carried out by a qualified artist. It involves using a specialized manual hand-tool that holds a disposable microblade and is pulled gently across the skin, leaving behind individual tiny hair strokes that mimic your own natural eyebrow hairs.
Microblading is a technique that yields extremely natural looking brows and is best for clients that want hyper-realistic results or are afraid of having "bolder" eyebrows.
What does my appointment involve?
When you arrive, you will have an initial consultation with your artist. The consultation involves the explanation of the procedure, assessing your current eyebrows and skin type as well as establishing your desired shape.
You will then be asked to fill out an informed consent form. This is to collect your medical history, contact details and to further explain the procedure.
A topical anesthetic will be applied to your skin and left to sit for approximately 45-60 minutes to ensure a pain-free process.
Once the anesthetic has come off, your natural eyebrows will be shaped .
(We take care to not remove your own hairs) and a new shape is meticulously mapped out according to your facial features and will be drawn on with a waterproof pencil. This shape is then tweaked until approved by you.
The microblading takes place after this, and generally takes around 30 - 45 minutes to perform.
You will then leave with a touch-up appointment date , aftercare gift pack (including instructions, ointment and a step-by -step of the healing process) and an amazing new set of eyebrows.
In what case is a person unable to have Microblading done?
Microblading is not suited to anyone undergoing chemotherapy , radiation or acne treatment ( you must be off any of these treatments for a minimum of 6 months). Use of any blood thinners, steroids, acne treatment or heart medication and certain chronic medications is not allowed. You cannot have Microblading if you have recently had botox around your eyebrows or a chemical peel on your face. Pregnant women CANNOT be microbladed under any circumstances. Please send us as much information as you can prior to your appointment .
Microblading is not suited to very oily or damaged skin or in cases when a person has hyper pigmentation, eczema or keratosis.

LASER TATTOO AND BROW REMOVAL
HOW DOES LASER TATTOO/BROW REMOVAL WORK?

Tattoos can be removed from any part of the body, from your toes to your arms to your eyebrows. Regardless of where it is on your skin, it’s crucial to pay close attention to the area, especially in the days immediately following treatment.

For most clients, the time it takes to get rid of a tattoo is well worth it. If you thought you might have to live with your unwanted ink forever, it can be a great relief to know that a laser treatment can erase it in as little as one year. So, how does this process work?
State-of-the-Art Technology
Not too long ago, tattoos were permanent. They were lifelong commitments that couldn’t be reversed. That was bad news for anyone whose tastes changed. Today, laser technology can do amazing things in the fields of medicine and cosmetics. When used to treat tattoos, they provide a safe, effective way to clear the skin of unwanted designs. You may have thought your tattoo would last forever when you got it, but that doesn’t have to be the case anymore. With the power of laser technology, you don’t have to live with tattoos you no longer want.
Our lasers emit focused beams that specifically target the colors that appear in your tattoo. The pigment in the ink absorbs this energy and ruptures. This process happens safely, because the beams are not attracted to the surrounding tissue. Once the ink particles have been blasted into tiny fragments, your body is able to safely reabsorb them. This happens through the natural process of your immune system.

WHY DOES THE INK TAKE TIME TO REMOVE?

Before laser tattoo removal, getting rid of tattoo ink was incredibly tricky. Even now, it takes time. This is because of the way it locks into your cells.
Your Immune System Can’t Get Rid of Tattoo Ink on Its Own
Your skin is a complex organ that is regulated by your immune system. Your body can detect foreign substances, such as tattoo ink, and works to get rid of them. In most cases, it can clear these elements with special cells called macrophages. Under normal circumstances, the macrophages absorb potentially dangerous particles and dispose of them.
Tattoo ink poses a problem for the macrophages. While they can absorb it, they can’t let it go. If a macrophage that contains tattoo ink ruptures, the ink is absorbed by other macrophages. That’s why tattoos stay in your skin permanently unless you seek cosmetic treatment.
Laser Treatments Need Time to Work With Your Body
Getting laser treatments is the safest and most complete way to get rid of your tattoo. With each session, the wavelengths blast some of the ink particles into fragments that are small enough for the macrophages to eliminate. Your body needs some time after every session to go through its clearing processes. By continuing your sessions, you will ultimately see your tattoo fade away.

IPL HAIR REMOVAL AND SKIN TREATMENTS
WHAT IS IPL?
IPL stands for intense pulsed light and is a type of light treatment that uses strong pulses of light to stimulate or treat various issues within the skin, it directs light at the pigment in the hair, causing a burst of heat that damages or kills the cells that cause that hair to grow.

HOW LONG DOES IPL HAIR REMOVAL TAKE?
The exact time will differ from person to person, depending on various factors, your hair has cycles just like your skin does.
Your hair has a growth phase, a rest phase, and a shedding phase. One of the main reasons why you need to do repeat treatments with IPL, is because your hairs are not all in the same phase of the cycle at the same time. So to catch all of them, and to get rid of them permanently, you almost have to chase the cycles. This is why IPL sessions are done four weeks apart.

IPL SKIN REJUVENATION

IPL Skin Rejuvenation can help say goodbye to the effects of sun damage, rosacea, pigmentation, and more. With the innovative Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin rejuvenation procedure, gentle skin rejuvenation is now easier than ever. IPL Skin rejuvenation allows patients to transform red or brown blotchy skin into a radiant complexion. IPL treatments can also help to improve skin texture, by stimulating collagen growth.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation can assist with the following:
Boost Collagen Production
Reduces skin redness & rosacea
Improved appearance of acne scars
Reduce sun spots
Pigmentation
Improved fine wrinkles
Reduced pore size
Reduced appearance of spider veins/broken capillaries
WHO ARE GOOD CANDIDATES?
People with light, untanned skin, who was previously exposed to long term sun exposure without adequate sun protection. Sun-damaged, or discoloured skin, or people whose skin has been affected by sunspots, age spots, broken capillaries or flushed cheeks as well as loss of elasticity, may benefit from IPL treatment.
How does it work?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) delivers high intensity, controlled pulses of light that penetrate the skin and is exactly absorbed by the problem areas,( the pigmentation or facial veins) that causes it to fragment, while also stimulating the formation of collagen and elastin. IPL also encourages the production of collagen, a natural protein, making the skin smooth and supple.

LASER CARBON FACIAL
WHAT IS LASER CARBON FACIAL?
Laser Carbon Facial is a treatment that helps to treat acne, large pores, oily skin, and uneven skin tone. Carbon facial is not a traditional chemical peel. In this method of skin rejuvenation, your therapist uses a carbon solution and a laser device to create an exfoliating effect.

BENEFITS OF LASER CARBON FACIALS
Cleansing: Carbon can absorb fat and waste material deep in the pores of the skin, and then the laser destroys the carbon particles. This is how laser carbon facial gets your skin cleansed.
Exfoliation: By targeting the carbon via laser, dead skin cells and blackheads are removed from the surface of the skin, and exfoliation is done. Once the procedure is complete, the skin of your face becomes clearer and its open pores are closed.
Removing acne and reducing skin fat: The heat generated by carbon facial destroys acne-causing bacteria and causes sebaceous glands to accumulate fat and oil in the open pores of the skin. As a result, your face will be less oily.
Rejuvenation: Through laser carbon facial, the deep layers of the skin are also targeted and collagen production is stimulated.
